Worship Commission – Marilyn
Rodenhausen, Chair
The worship commission oversees the vocal and instrumental music program,
liturgists, ushers, flowers and decorating the sanctuary. There are lots of
ways that you could contribute on Sunday mornings or other times throughout the
year.
Christian Education
Commission – Jim Cregar, Chair
The Christian Education program coordinates Sunday School and special
activities for children, the youth program and confirmation, adult learning
opportunities, all-church CE events and Vacation Bible School, to name just a
few! Whether teaching, leading crafts, or participating in a book study, there
are lots of ways to get involved.
Mission Commission – Jewel

The Mission Commission oversees our mission giving which includes an annual
pledge to the wider church, denomination-wide special offerings, and periodic
donations to support our ministry partners. They also offer opportunities for
hands-on mission activities locally and through mission trips. Whether through
Blood Drives, North Church, Blanket Sunday or the Alternative Gift Fair, there
are lots of ways to get involve and impact the world around
us.
Buildings and Grounds – Ron
Cechner, Chair
The Buildings and Grounds Commission is charged with overseeing the ongoing
maintenance and appearance of the facility, including oversight of building use,
cleaning, contractors, insurance and utilities. There is much that can be
accomplished by the gifts of our own members. Wherever your talent lies, there
are ways that you can help us be good stewards of the property and structures
entrusted to us.
Personnel and Finance – Bill
Stilson, Chair; Bill Smyser, Commission Member
The Personnel and Finance Commission (previously called Stewardship and
Finance), with the help of co-treasurers Mark Fagerholm and Frank Rzicznek,
oversees numerous administrative areas in the life of the church including
Stewardship, Employee Performance Reviews and Accounting and Checking
Operations. We rely on volunteers to serve as money counters and as part of the
Personnel Committee, to name a couple.
Outreach and Evangelism –
Barb Anderson, Chair; Judy Vernon, Commission Member
The newly formed Outreach and Evangelism Commission now encompasses the
areas of ministry previously handled within our Membership and Fellowship
Commissions. In addition, it will focus on internal and external communication
including the Valley Voice newsletter, website, signage, advertising and
publicity, while also overseeing training for Greeters and a welcoming ministry
toward visitors and potential new members.
