Mid-week Lenten services will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 17, with an Ash Wednesday Service at Valley Presbyterian Church at 7:30 p.m. The following Wednesday, March 4, will be the first of five Wednesday evening soup suppers after which a 20-minute video from a series entitled "Questions of Faith" will be watched and then have a time of discussion and brief worship.

The introduction from the "Questions of Faith" series notes that throughout life, we find ourselves face to face with basic questions of belief and meaning. Sometimes we outgrow our answers. We may even decide the questions themselves don’t really matter any longer. But humans seem to thirst for meaning, and to find it, every generation must ask these questions anew in the light of their times. This series presents a variety of contemporary thinkers from across various denominations, who share their thoughts. We hope that what they say will provoke responses in you, and help in your struggle with the questions. The schedule for the soup suppers and video discussions follows:
